Q:Is higher zinc content in epoxy zinc-rich primer always better?

A:The answer is negative. When the zinc content reaches 80–85% by dry film weight, zinc powder particles form a complete conductive network, delivering the optimal cathodic protection effect.

If the zinc content exceeds 90%, the paint film tends to be loose and porous, resulting in sharply reduced mechanical properties and adhesion. If it is lower than 80%, the conductive protective network becomes discontinuous, which greatly weakens the anti-corrosion performance.

Our products strictly control zinc content within this optimal proportion range, using high-purity zinc powder with a purity of over 99.9%, ensuring stable and reliable anti-corrosion performance.
